sargood Kayaks and Trailers

Did you know that Kayaking is one of the very few activities someone with a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) can experience with their families?

Purchasing Kayaks and a trailer to transport them allows the team at Sargood to connect more families living with SCI to this fabulous recreational activity. This creates not only invaluable memories with their family, but an opportunity to share life experiences and support with others.

Thanks to the members of the Cauliflower Club, we were able to deliver a trailer to Sargood and make a huge difference in the community.

Royal Rehab adapted car

Through the generosity of your donations and support, we were able to present Royal Rehab with an adapted car for their driver program. This program enables a broad range of people to learn or re-learn how to drive.

This adapted car provides those at Royal Rehab accessibility to the much valued independence that driving provides. It further improves their access to opportunities of free-time, volunteering, paid employment and leisurely travel out of Sydney.

The adaptability of the car allows individuals to feel comfortable and less overwhelmed when completing the formal assessment process.

Sargood pool table

Cauliflower Club provided an adapted pool table and presented it to Sargood on Collaroy. This table has proven hugely popular to the residents and their families, leading to some late-night socialising.

We were touched by the story of one guest at Sargood who said it was the first time he had been able to teach his son something that they could do together.

It’s a great team game, allowing 10 players at once, encouraging those at Sargood to engage in valuable leisure time.

The Cauliflower Club is proud to partner with Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT, with recently donated wheel racks and shot clocks. The 2025 Wheelchair Rugby Season was launched at Norths Cammeray, bringing together athletes, supporters and the broader community. There are huge ambitions for the sport in Australia building towards LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
