Spotlight on Sponsorship: Q&A With Steve Adamson

The Cauliflower Club XV (CCXV) is preparing for another exciting year ahead! With a rich history of community engagement and support for our charitable causes, CCXV is focused on securing partnerships that will amplify our impact and help us achieve our goals. We caught up with CCXV President, Steve Adamson to discuss the club’s ambitions, the essential role of sponsors, and the unique opportunities available for potential partners.

What are the key goals for CCXV this year?

A main goal this year is to strengthen our support for the community clubs who host our community match days as we look to partner for two new events in 2025. The clubs, such as our 2024 partners, Maitland Blacks Rugby Club and Shoalhaven RFC make these days possible, and we hope to be able to support community & country Rugby in a new region in 2025/26  Another big goal is to secure a Major Platinum and Gold Sponsor that will take the CCXV into 2025/26 and allow us to contribute to The Cauliflower Club’s beneficiaries like Sargood Foundation & Wheelchair Sports NSW.

What is the role of sponsors in the growth and development of CCXV?

Sponsors are crucial to the ongoing success of the CCXV. We are incredibly grateful to the sponsors who have already helped us raise $150K for the Cauliflower Club’s charities over the past 7 years. New major sponsors will allow us to build on our regional charity events and reach further into the community.

What would you say to potential sponsors who are on the fence about supporting CCXV?

Jump the fence and get involved with the greatest charity rugby club on the Planet! We are massive supporters of country and community rugby, and each squad member is hand-picked from community clubs and invited to join the CCXV, so we only have the best of the best rugby men involved. For the rugby tragic, a weekend with the Cauliflower Club XV is like The Rugby World Cup and Disneyland all rolled into one! All Jersey and Short positions for 2025/26 are currently open but we are especially looking for Platinum, Gold & Silver Major Sponsors.

What unique benefits can sponsors expect when they partner with CCXV?

For rugby tragics, the CCXV is a perfect partnership. Along with a signed CCXV Jersey for Major Sponsors, we also offer access to the team’s inner sanctum – with sideline, golf and team dinner invitations.  This is a highlight of the package that invites the sponsor’s representative to mingle with the Old Boy and Wallaby legends in the Squad.

How to get involved?

All money raised at our CCXV events is directed straight to The Cauliflower Club Rugby Charity, where we support our charitable partners like Sargood Foundation, Wheelchair Sports NSW and Ryde Rehab – We have already contributed to wheelchair trailers, modified kayaks, pool tables, and mountain bikes, modified cars and scoreboards. What better way to support your favourite Rugby Charity than with a beer in hand at a Country Rugby match!

If you would like to support the CCXV, contact President Steve Adamson on 0499 224 454 or prop@teamplayerapparel.com.au

CCXV is ready to make an even greater impact with the help of our valued sponsors. Together, we can turn our ambitions into reality, ensuring that our charitable contributions reach those who need them most. We invite potential partners to join us on this journey, sharing in the joy and camaraderie that rugby brings.
